Human Rights and Global Climate Action (HRGCA) is a multidisciplinary, nonprofit, non-governmental organization based in Nepal, committed to promoting human rights, sustainable development, environmental justice, and social equity. Founded on the principle that human rights and climate action are inherently interconnected, we work at the intersection of environmental conservation, social advocacy, and community empowerment to create resilient and inclusive societies. In a rapidly changing world marked by climate disruptions, social inequality, and ecological degradation, HRGCA believes that no one should be left behind. We strive to address both global and local challenges, including climate change, gender-based violence, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and unequal access to clean water and sanitation. Our work particularly focuses on protecting and empowering marginalized communities, including women, indigenous peoples, and minority + individuals. As a research-driven organization, we also engage in evidence-based studies and fieldwork that inform policy, strengthen community resilience, and drive meaningful change. Our programmatic areas include biodiversity conservation, climate justice, sustainable agriculture, and organic community farming. We promote alternatives to harmful chemical practices through our anti-pesticide campaigns, and advocate for agroecological models that ensure both food security and environmental sustainability.
